One might ask, why the bobblehead?
At Doc’s 80th birthday party his daughter Kerri gave him a custom bobblehead. It instantly became a hit with the DocFest family, who in turn, adopted it as their mascot. The whimsical figurine has found its way on all of the DF traditional celebratory cakes as well as part of this series.
Follow us as we learn more about why Doc is so loved and adored!
Here we go again…..”Doc” Morgan goes to LA!
More bragging rights!

Earlier this year Doc traveled to L.A. to participate in a festival “The Creative World of Stan Kenton” produced by the Los Angeles Jazz Institute. Over the course of 3 days, he was proud to co-moderate “Stan Kenton and the Exposion of Jazz Education with Mike Vas. The festival included 15 concerts, film showings, panel discussions and various special themed sessions. As is often the case, the highlights of the festival for Doc was the mini-reunions with HSPVA alums. According to Doc, there are at least 9 additional jazz alums in the area enjoying successful careers in L.A.
