KTSU Program Director, Donna Franklin
Donna Frankin, has over 25 years of experience in the broadcast industry. She began her career in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Houston in 1999 as Smooth Jazz Night host for SUNNY 99.1. In 2003, Donna accepted a position with SMOOTH JAZZ 95.7 THE WAVE. She soon became the first female solo morning show radio host in the market.
Donna finds her current position at KTSU to be one of the most rewarding positions in her career. Managing over 50 uniquely talented individuals heard on the air at KTSU has been one of her greatest pleasures. Not only does she enjoy making dreams come true for those who aspire to be in this industry, she has the opportunity to teach basic principles of radio to Texas Southern University students.
Her goal is to educate, inspire, empower, entertain, inform, elevate, and unite the KTSU listening audience through music, as well as through information via News and Public Affairs programming. Donna Franklin is living her passion, and credits her listening audience for making it possible.
