Drummer Andrew Sneed grew up in Houston, graduating from Meyerland Middle School for the Performing and Visual Arts (under the direction of Craig Green – drummer from the famed Kashmere Stage Band), and then from Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. He studied drumset privately with well-known Houston drummers Joel Fulghum and Sebastian Whittaker; and later with Ed Soph at the University of North Texas, where he graduated in 2016. Sneed currently resides in New York City where he enjoys being a part of the jazz scene. Sneed has performed in contexts ranging from the Alley Theatre’s production of A Night With Janis Joplin, to Houston’s storied Cezanne jazz club, to the Houston Symphony Pops.
